Overview


WinSecure EtherDoor is one of the WinSecure series products, which supports physical access control features.  EtherDoor system offers a multiple authentication method; such as with non-contact Smart Card, contact Smart Card, fingerprint authentication device, PIN pad, and any combination of  these.  Both WinSecure EtherDoor (software) as well as EtherDoor reader/writer are provided by SNI.



Highlights


Manage door system as an object in a same level as data server in a system  directory 

One of  the most distinguished features of WinSecure EtherDoor is that the physical access system is totally integrated with data security system in a directory level.  The access control of the door system is easily setup/changed as it is done for the data access control and privileges to data server.  

Integrate resources for physical access and data access


Not a few companies have a security requirement for integrating the Smart Card for physical access as well as data access control.  WinSecure EtherDoor allows to use same Smart Card to integrate the resource.


Three-tier trouble-shooting (TTTS)


EtherDoor has a feature to isolate the trouble area depends on there it occurs.  The basic concept is to prevent the entire door system paralyzed.  For example, if  the trouble occurs in PC or power system,  authentication of door system is taken place in EtherDoor reader/writer box or I/O box.

Multi-authentication is a basic concept of WinSecure series.  EtherDoor is designed to meet this concept.  Users can use one or many of the authentication system  with EtherDoor system. 


Low-cost / Easy Maintenance by using PCs and Ethernet connectivity


Physical access system usually requires  a tremendous investment at implementation because of new controllers, cabling,  and etc.   With EtherDoor system, users can utilize the existing  resources.  The regular PCs and regular LAN can be utilized for controllers and cabling.


Easy remote control management


Administrator can manage the controller PCs from remote locations.  He/she can distribute drivers or software for upgrade or new installation throughout the door system in different locations.


Integrated time card feature (optional)


You can integrate Time Card and Attendance Management System into EtherDoor system as an optional feature.   This feature will help you increase efficiency, and allow you to see the real-time attendance, work hour management, and manage your employees/consultants after-hour physical access versus actual working hours.
