The WinSecure Series was awarded the 2004 Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s (METI) IT Month Chairperson’s Commendation for its promotion and contribution to Information Science Technology.

Systemneeds, Inc., a leading developer of Smart Card and biometric personal authentication security systems, was awarded a commendation from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) for its contribution to information science technology in 2004.  This commendation was received by 13 companies, selected from over 1500 companies with over 500,000 software applications that were submitted to METI.

This prestigious commendation was awarded to WinSecure based on the following:

    WinSecure’s ability to securely protect data, PC access, and physical access, as well as seamlessly integrate with existing physical access and personnel management systems.

    For authentication, WinSecure employs USB tokens and Smart Cards, as well as fingerprint systems, and with over 1.92 million licenses sold, has achieved a huge client customer base.

    WinSecure’s contribution to the globalization of the use of secure tokens, smart cards, and fingerprint authentication systems.

The Japanese government has designated October of each year as the Commemorative Information Technology Promotion Month.  At a special ceremony held in Tokyo, outstanding individuals, business, and IT systems are honored for their contribution to Information Science with a Ministry Commendation.

On September 6th, 2004, METI held an IT Globalization Month meeting and announced the winners of this year’s commendations.
